On May 27, we took part in Drone Summit 2026 in Riga, an event focused on where drone and defence technology is heading next. It brought together people from politics, defence, research, and industry, so it felt less like a typical conference and more like a place where real conversations were happening about what this space actually needs.
For us, this year’s summit was especially important because we were picked by the Czech Ministry of Defence to showcase our drone hunting platform at the expo. There was strong interest not only from members of the Drone Coalition, but also from other European and Allied countries. That gave us the chance to present our approach directly to people who are actively involved in shaping the future of this field.
What made the event stand out was the range of things happening in one place. Alongside the exhibition, there were panel discussions, startup demos, investor and funding sessions, workshops, and pitch opportunities. It gave a good picture of how quickly the sector is moving and how many different parts need to work together for new technologies to move from concept to real use.
For us, events like this are useful because they help connect the technology itself with the wider environment around it. You get to hear what others are focused on, what problems are becoming more urgent, and where the real demand is coming from.
Riga made one thing very clear. This is no longer a niche topic. The conversation around drones, defence, and operational readiness is growing fast, and it is becoming more relevant across Europe.
